We had an incident this past week. A person filed a complaint with the BBB. In truth I was distressed to see the complaint. Then I read it. I actually called the person who filed the complaint to see if I could address any of his concerns. No, I didn’t call to sell him anything. I called to see if I could address any of his concerns, answer any questions he may have. Perhaps help him in is business.
Much to my surprise (not really) he wasn’t interested in having his concerns addressed, his supposed questions answered. He certainly was not interested in promoting his business.
I was disgusted when I got off the phone with him. Disgusted, but not surprised. Most folks that complain about other people who are working, and making a good living, are their own worst enemy. They refuse to get out of their own way; the result is a resounding failure in any venture they attempt. Many times both professional and personal.
We’ve all met them, know some of them personally. The: it’s always the other guy’s fault, or this happened so I couldn’t, or he/she did this so I couldn’t. They spend their entire lives hopping around: the couldn’t button.
When in truth, it’s not a couldn’t button at all; it’s a wouldn’t button. Understand the difference? What a person can do and what they will do is often two very different things.
This is usually accompanied by an extremely negative mindset.
In truth there is nothing you can do to change a person’s mindset. That is their responsibility. It boils down to their life choices. Yes I know the first impulse is “Oh but I can help them, they need help, let me help them” Don’t go there. You can not help them when they refuse to help themselves.
You can hand someone a glass of fresh cool water, but if they refuse to drink it it’s their choice. You may have an entire reservoir of clean fresh cool water, and they will still die of thirst if they refuse to drink.
You can not change their minds, the only person that can do that is the person in question.
Yes I used to try to help them anyway, try to change their minds. No, I do not do that anymore. Jim Rohn has a wonderful response to this type of person. “Isn’t that interesting.” And he goes on his way.
Move on, work with the people that want to work. Don’t waste your valuable time on those that do not. We all know them, an excuse for everything and everything is an excuse. “Isn’t that interesting” and move on.
I don’t need to run after people to have them work with me, and neither do you. My time is valuable, and so is yours. Yes that’s what I said your time is valuable.
As I was working this week I did think about the “complaint”. I know the enterprise I was referring to is excellent. That the training offered is extremely useful, to any business person. I’ve used many of the skills I’ve developed as a result of this training in my Ranch, Kennel business, and a variety of affiliate marketing projects.
Actually this complaint resulted in: me reviewing the training I’ve received, the skills I’ve developed, the progress I’ve made in my business endeavors since taking advantage of the training offered.
Curious as to what the complaint was? The person complaining was not happy with the following question:
If I could honestly show a real way to put $10,000 or more in the bank within the next 30-45 days, would that be worth a few minutes of your time today?
I suppose it is a challenge for some people to comprehend making $10,000 a month. Yes it’s realistic. Seriously working with the system $10,000 a week is realistic. Did I make $10,000 a week last month?
No I didn’t, but then I haven’t been seriously working with it either. My focus over the past few months has been on a dog rescue project. I’ve even put most of my kennel presentations on hold because my focus has been on the dog rescue project. (I soooo need to take photographs of my beautiful Pomeranians and get them uploaded!)
Here’s the kicker, as a result of the valuable training I’ve received, note I said the training I received. Not system sales, just the training I’ve utilized. I had a $16,000 or $17,000 month this month. This month being November 2007. No I don’t know exactly how much came in, I haven’t closed out my books for the month yet. Am I going to show you some paypal statements or bank statements. Or photograph some pile of cash on an express mail envelope. No I am not.
Showing those statements proves absolutely nothing. Except, that you can take a photo of a statement. Or can handle a graphics program, or have signed up for someone’s sales page that has already put the graphics together. In short, no I am not showing statements. It’s tacky and I’m not doing it.
Can you make $10,000 a month working from home? Yes you can.
Can you make $10,000 a week working from home? Yes you can.
Will you make $10,000 a month? Ok-here’s the answer. I have absolutely no Idea. You tell me. Are you willing to do the work. Will you follow through. Will you make $10,000 a month, or $10,000 a week? Only you have that answer.
What’s it going to be? The ball is in your court.

News and Notes... Happy Father's Day!
Back to Father’s Day… Once again Happy Father’s Day! To all of you Dads and soon to be Dads out there… Happy Father’s Day to all Moms as well as All Single Parents. You have the combo package… Mom Dad etc.
My Pop is here visiting for a few weeks. It’s good to see him. He drove in from Minnesota. We are in South Eastern Wyoming so that is a bit of a ramble. He’ll be 80 in August and he really looks good. Living in the woods agrees with him. Literally he lives on a place out in the woods in Minnesota. He’s active and it shows.
Hello couch potatoes, want to live that long and actually be able to function. Get off the couch! Move your body, no not jiggling on the way to the frig for some more food. The longer you sit around the harder it is to get into condition. I’m finding that out for sure. My activity level was severely limited due to illness and surgery and it’s kicking my behind getting my body into condition again. Geez who dropped me in the meat grinder. It’s going to take some time and a gradual increase, but I’m keeping at it. I don’t want to be one of those people who can’t wipe their own hiney because they simply didn’t move.
Ok.. fat hineys aside. On the business end of things, so to speak. Here are a couple of top notch tools. Leads*o*matic has been revamped. It worked great before but it is really popping now. Well worth using. Pair it up with Track That Ad so you know whether your ads are being clicked on or not and you really have a winning combination.

But the pictures simply don’t do them justice. They are really beautiful. A pleasure to work with and enjoy. Yes I enjoy my Poms. News and Notes... what is your focus?
What's that you say. No... not sticking a hot iron on your backside. I'm talking about branding yourself on the internet. If I put your name into a search engine what would come up. Would it be you?
I've been running at warp 9 for days. Taking care of my hairballs, doing client interviews, photographing Pomeranians, uploading pics, and editing. In the process I came through a nasty allergic reaction, and dropped 7 pounds. Could have done without the allergic reaction, and could stand to drop 150 more pounds. It's taken me a long time to come this far in my recovery process after having West Nile then major surgery, infections and the whole bit. It's wonderful to feel my body and mind coming alive and gaining momentum.
What does this have to do with business? It has to do with focus. Where is your focus. Where your focus is is where your life/business goes. My focus was on illness then recovery. Now it's on living and my business.
Where is your focus? What is your primary business. What is your passion?
Ah come on. Keep it clean. You know what I mean.
In my marketing efforts I come across a multitude of websites and adverts. Most are cookie cutter sites, with nothing of the person marketing them apparent at all. Only the original site creator's presence is there.Meanwhile the person marketing that site is wondering why they aren't gaining any momentum; and are still spending more than they are making.
Something to think about.
Marketing you. Branding you. What is your presence on the Internet? What is your business? Don't know? Ask yourself what your passion is. What do you know about, or what would you like to know about? Is it marketable?
What?! You thought success on the Internet was instant and anonymous. Only in fairytales.

Who Do You Work For? Who Are You?
I have one main question for you.
Who are you working for?
Are you working for the various mlm or affiliate programs you are selling, or are you working for yourself? Who are you? Why should I buy from you?
I am not saying to not use splash pages or banners. I use them both. Of course I do.
Another burning question. Where is your webpage, your blog? Why aren’t your links in those ads. Are these programs that you are recommending, or are you simply a member of that company’s sales crew? Something to think about. Brand yourself! No not with a hot iron.
Brand yourself on the internet. Yes it takes work. Yes you may have to develop some additional skills. I wasn’t born with internet skills… yet mine are developing. I’ve been using Veretekk for a good bit of training. It’s been extremely useful to me. They have excellent online training which you have access to with the free Silver Veretekk System. On the ground and running… yay… Actually I should say online and running. I finally a have an isp that is up and running on what looks to be a consistent basis.
The past few months have been an exercise in frustration. (To put it mildly) We've had some wicked blizzards this past winter which made it extremely difficult for any tech to get out to this ranch and check their equipment. Actually it wouldn’t have been such an issue if they drove 4 wheel drive. Which of course they didn’t… at any rate even after they changed out the equipment the service was not good.
I thought they had over booked their tower. Which of course they said they hadn’t. HA! Received an email from them later …their newsletter. Talking about coming upgrades and additional towers. They overbooked the bloody tower and cost me time and money. Good by Vistabeam.
Hello Wild Blue. So far so good with Wild Blue. We have been up and running consistently since it was installed. It actually is a direct satellite link… not a cable or point to point service. From what I understand they only book so many people to any one area then it’s closed out for that satellite. Sooooo… hopefully my service stays up and running consistently.
I love living out on this ranch. But there is definitely a trade off. You decide how you want to live and make your choices.
Posted quite a few photos on the ranch blog. Re-did the menus on my main site as well as the blogs. Puppy photos loaded to The Arfing News… have photos taken to be edited and uploaded to my main site Robbins Run Ranch: Living the Dream With Our Pomeranians.
